In addition to athletics training, Monkey Bay scholarship students have access to after-school mathematics and English classes.
The goal? To help young athletes grow through athletics, teaching them about their bodies, setting goals and pushing their limits. The scholarships provide a full year of afternoon activities and a healthy nutrition program, supported by local vendors.
This project requires academic commitment, consistency, and responsibility essential preparation for life’s challenges.
This project was created to support the development of new generations by promoting healthy and conscious growth through athletics, balanced nutrition, and educational support.
We want to offer young people the opportunity to discover their talents, learn discipline, and develop a resilient mindset. Through dedication to sport, young athletes not only come to know themselves better but also learn to set goals, overcome challenges, and work as a team. We are aware that this journey requires time and commitment, but we believe that, just like in athletics, every goal achieved is a step toward a stronger and more promising future.
In Malawi, the education system is severely affected by overcrowded classrooms, with around 200 students assigned to a single teacher, and by challenging social conditions that hinder learning. As a result, less than 10% of students manage to continue their studies after primary school. Through extra lessons and a stimulating learning environment, we aim to provide the necessary language skills, because we believe that education is the key to a better future.

Athletics is a wonderful teacher of life, a sport that allows children on scholarships to explore their potential and discover the pleasure of expressing themselves freely. It is a safe space to get to know oneself, one's body and to gain awareness. Whether it is accelerating on the track or leaping towards new goals, athletics is a space where everyone can find their own rhythm and their own way of fulfilling themselves.
However, the success of this project is not only measured by the results achieved on the track, but also by the personal growth that drives these young athletes to improve day after day. Looking to the future, the real goal is to provide them with practical skills that go beyond sport, allowing them to apply what they have learned to everyday challenges. Through athletics, they learn to plan, set goals and pursue them with method and determination, developing a resilience that will help them live every aspect of their lives with greater awareness and confidence.
